Developing gender sensitive mental health program for young people
Let’s talk wants to strengthen youth work community to carry on projects in promoting and maintaining the Mental Health of young people inclusive of all genders and thus leading to an increase in quality, innovation and recognition of youth work as key stakeholders in supporting young people.
The project
Let’s Talk is a co-funded Erasmus+ project which puts together CSOs and youth organizations from Croatia, Italy, Serbia and Greece.
Together will strengthen the capacity of youth workers in supporting young peoples’ mental health with focus on gender sensitive approach to mental health issues.
LETs TALK is a two-year European project, started in January 2022, funded by the Erasmus+ Programme (KA220-YOU – Cooperation partnerships in youth) and coordinated by Forum for Freedom in Education.

Providing Policy analyses and recommendations
Providing Policy analyses and recommendations related to young people’s mental health on EU and national level, with focus on the gender perspective.
Support young people's mental health
Providing Policy analyses and recommendations related to young people’s mental health on EU and national level, with focus on the gender perspective.
Developing the gender sensitive tools
Developing the gender sensitive tools for understanding and supporting one’s own mental health for young people.
Disseminating the developed knowledge
Disseminating the developed knowledge and resources in 4 partner countries and on EU level.
In order to make its action effective, Let’s talk wants to involve the following targets:
YOUTH WORKERS & YOUTH EXPERTS
- Their capacity in supporting young peoples’ mental health with focus on gender sensitive approach to mental health issues will be strengthened.
- Their personal and social competences will be developed to better understand and support children and youth’s mental health with special sensitivity for gender differences
- Their competencies in the field of mental health of youth will be improved.
YOUNG PEOPLE
- They will participate in interviews aimed at gaining deeper insight in gender specific issues in recognizing mental health problem, seeking help, and dealing with these issues
- They will also be consultants in evaluating the production of project results and in training and multiplier events, guaranteeing a full involvement in all the stages of the project.
MENTAL HEALTH EXPERTS and POLICY DECISION MAKERS
- They will be involved as one of the key stakeholders in supporting and making decisions and policies in the sector of youth.
